The purpose of the YLD Leadership Academy is to accelerate leadership development for the future of the Bar Association and the community. The application process is open to any TCBA member who has practiced for up to 10 years. All participants selected will be assessed a $150 fee for supplies.
The 2026 Application process is open for the Fall Class.
Participants Will:
- Learn leadership and non-profit board skills.
- Develop professional networks.
- Receive up to 3 hours of CLE credit.
- Assist in the development of an autonomous YLD program and identify exciting goals for its future.
To apply for the YLD Leadership Academy, please complete the online form. This form must be completed in one sitting, so please have your final documents and information ready before starting your application. Three essay questions are asked, and you may submit two reference letters from former/current employers or supervisors, long-time acquaintances, or another attorney who can attest to your character and why you would be a good candidate for the Academy. However, reference letters are not required.
